Welcome to the Official Site for the Murphysboro Blues Festival.
Due to lack of funding, the Murphysboro Blues Festival event has been inactive since 2006.
The Murphysboro Blues Festival is held annually in Murphysboro,
Illinois. Located 7 miles west of Carbondale, home of Southern Illinois
University.
The coordinator for the Blues Festival was Joe Glasser of On Stage
Entertainment. Joe has worked extremely hard to put together the
entertainment package for the Blues Festival for the past few years.
Unfortunately, the funding has been extremely minimal.
You can help keep the annual blues festival alive! This site will be
working to help receive contributions/donations to keep the blues
festival in operation. Murphysboro needs this event as a form of
entertainment for Southern Illinois and to show residents and visitors,
that Southern Illinois is great for Live Music.
