"Hi, Everyone..
First time I have posted anything on this site. This site was created by my nephew Josh out in California, as his gift to the blues world. I think he has created a great site. He advised me that he had received reports that this site is getting lots of hits. This make me very proud of his efforts.
Now lets get down to business. I and many, many other hard working people spend the entire year, each year, to put together a great show for you. But we need your help to keep this thing alive!
We have had the donation section available since the site was created. Please, please give if you can.
We have had many thousand visitors to this site since it's creation. Just think of the acts we could book for you, "if" each one of those visitors had just given at least $1.00 (one dollar)... NO ONE HAS DONATED A DIME....
I dip into my pocket each year and pay the remaining cost of the festival. The past two festivals, I had lost better than $5,000.00 out of my own pocket each year.
You're asking why I would do this. I do it because I love blues music, I love bringing a great event to YOU, I care about my home town community and city parks, I want to continue to carry on the tradition of Riverside Blues that past Park Director Danny Ward had started over 11 years ago.
So please give, or just bring everyone you know to the event this year. Every extra person, is extra money we can use to book next years event. And also keep in mind that this event helps Murphysboro's City Parks Department.
Many folks ask me why we charge $10.00 for a ticket? Well the simple truth is these acts we book are not cheap. If more people would attend, we would be able to bring the price back down to the original $5.00 price. But before that can happen, we need to have a profitable year this year.
If we are in the "loss" colume this year. It may be the last year of Riverside Blues fest. So please give anything, if you are able. Donations are accepted on this site, or by mailing your gift to:

Thank you and I will keep you updated as we get closer to the event.
